Kate Sonsteby ’05Alumni and Staff
I joined the library staff in July 2021 after having spent 15 years in children's publishing. I served as both an editor and an author, writing more than 200 nonfiction children's books (and editing hundreds more) during that time. Now I am happily spending my days immersed in a wider world of books and films as I purchase materials for our collection!
With a young son and a pug named Winston ruling our lives outside of work, my husband and I don't have as much time at our disposal as we used to, but we look forward to being able to explore the world again, post-pandemic. I play cello and am an avid chamber musician as well as a member of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, so you may spot my mint-green case on campus or out in the community from time to time.
