Rachel FlynnFaculty
I joined the Gustavus faculty as an academic librarian at Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library after completing my master’s degree in Library and Information Studies at the iSchool at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. My primary role is to provide reference service and information literacy instruction to the students of the College. Additionally, I work with faculty in the departments of Art and Art History, Health and Exercise Science, Psychology, and English to develop the library’s print collection in those disciplines.
My research interests include critical information literacy, interrogating the notion of library neutrality, and developing innovative ways to create inclusive, community-driven reference services. I’m also interested in working with faculty and students as they explore the potential of digital projects in their scholarship.
