Aaron Geringer, MS, MA, LPCCStaff

Assistant Director and Mental Health Therapist in Counseling Center

Aaron is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at the Gustavus Counseling Center.

Aaron approaches mental health therapy primarily from systems and developmental perspectives. He believes a person’s external and internal contexts as well as their access to resources are significant predictors of development. In addition to this, Aaron believes that everyone has, at their core, inherent resiliency which can be cultivated and holistically integrated to promote well-being and growth. Aaron has specialized training in treating trauma including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Serving the needs of individuals with diverse gender identities and sexualities is also one of his clinical passions.

Aside from being a mental health therapist, Aaron is an avid ceramicist. You can see his pottery on hist artist account on Instagram (@ontologyclay) or Facebook Page (Ontology Clay). Aaron also love to cook, garden, read, and spend time with his pets--a corgi named Vesper and three cats named Nietzsche, Juniper, and Thistle.
