Aaron Geringer, MS, MA, LPCCStaff

Assistant Director and Mental Health Therapist in Counseling Center

Aaron is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and serves as a Mental Health Therapist and the Assistant Director of the Gustavus Adolphus College Counseling Center.

Aaron approaches mental health therapy primarily from systems and developmental perspectives. He believes that a person’s external and internal contexts, as well as their access to resources, are significant predictors of development. Aaron also believes that everyone inherently possesses resilience, wisdom, and compassion for themselves and others. Even when these qualities seem absent, he believes that connections to these inherent resources can be cultivated.

Aaron has specialized training and experience in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

In addition to being a mental health therapist, Aaron is an avid ceramicist. You can view his pottery on his artist accounts on Instagram (@ontologyclay) and Facebook (Ontology Clay). Aaron also enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with his pets: two corgis named Vesper and Selkie, and three cats named Nietzsche, Juniper, and Thistle.
