Aaron is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at the Gustavus Counseling Center.

Aaron approaches mental health therapy primarily from systems and developmental perspectives. He believes a person’s external and internal contexts as well as their access to resources are significant predictors of development. In addition to this, Aaron believes that everyone has, at their core, inherent resiliency which can be cultivated and holistically integrated to promote wellbeing and growth. Aaron has specialized training in treating trauma including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Serving the needs of individuals with diverse gender identities and sexualities is also one of his clinical passions. Here at Gustavus, Aaron co-facilitates the LGBTQ+ support group Queer & Questioning.

Outisde of work, Aaron's personal interestes include reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his pets. He has three cats (named Nietzsche, Juniper, and Thistle) and two corgis (named Obie and Vesper).

B.A. in Psychology and Communication Studies from Hastings College; M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and M.A. in Communication Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato
