Overview

The Gustavus Department of Music is proud to announce the 2026 Gustavus High School Honor Band Festival, bringing together students from around Minnesota and the Midwest for a full day of music performance. This festival will feature faculty-led masterclasses, rehearsals, chances to rehearse alongside Gustavus music students, and an evening performance in Gustavus's magnificent Christ Chapel. Nominations

High school students in current grades 9 through 12 may be selected for the Gustavus Honor Band Festival. Nominations must be made by their high school music teacher using the form below. Nominations are due by Friday, October 2 at 5 p.m.

Acceptance notifications will be sent to the nominator no later than Saturday, October 10 with additional forms and a finalized schedule for the day.

Evening Concert

5:15 p.m. | Doors open in Christ Chapel

6:00 p.m. | Concert begins

The finale concert, which is free, open to the public, and also available via livestream on the Gustavus Music YouTube channel, will feature the Gustavus High School Honor Band as well as a performance by the renowned Gustavus Wind Orchestra.
