Community ConversationsWhat skills do Saint Peter graduates need to be successful?
On May 2 and May 7, 2017 the Saint Peter School District invited public input on what skills and characteristics students should have upon graduating. Residents of the greater Saint Peter area were invited to participate and share their ideas.
- STP Grads Conversation Final Report Gustavus students authored this public report that summarizes key themes that emerged from the conversations.
- The report was compiled using notes from the table conversations, flip chart lists of skills and characteristics, and participant worksheets. That material is available here: Raw Data Report - STP Grads Conversations.

- Presentation Slides: Designing Productive Community Conversations. On January 11, 2018, Dr. Pamela Conners, Associate Professor, and Dr. Paul Peterson, Saint Peter Superintendent, discussed the events and how other school districts may adapt the model in their communities.
The conversations were designed and facilitated by students in the Communication Studies Department and its Public Deliberation and Dialogue program.
