2023-24 Student Teaching Handbook - Read over the updated student teaching handbook before you begin student teaching so you know what is expected of you and your cooperating teacher!
Student Teaching Clock Hours - This assessment is to be completed AS YOU STUDENT TEACH. This is a PDF which will need to be printed in order to fill it out by hand. This form asks you to outline how many hours you observed and taught during each day so the department can keep track of how many hours you have full-time taught. This is much easier to fill out as the placement unfolds rather than trying to remember what you did at the beginning of the placement!
Assessment of College Supervisor - This assessment is to be completed online after each student teaching placement. This is a quick form asking you to give some detail about your experience with your student teaching supervisor and what they did to support you during each of your placements.
Assessment of Cooperating Teacher - This assessment is to be completed online after each student teaching placement. This is a quick form asking you to give some detail about your experience with your cooperating teacher.
Assessment of Student Teaching Placement Location - This assessment is to be completed online after each student teaching placement. This is a quick form asking you to give some detail about your experience with the school you student taught in and the building culture.
Professionalism Assessment - This assessment is to be completed online on taskstream at the end of the student teaching semester. It asks you to rate whether you agree or disagree with each of the statements regarding your professionalism at the placement you have just completed. (not for J-term student teachers)
Diversity Awareness Assessment - This assessment is to be completed online on taskstream at the end of the student teaching semester. It asks you to rate yourself on certain abilities and then provide evidence to support your response. (not for J-term student teachers)
Standards of Effective Practice - This assessment is to be completed online on taskstream after each of your student teaching placements. It asks you to rate yourself based on the Standards of Effective Teaching Practice outlines by the state of Minnesota. (not for J-term student teachers)
