Peace Conference.

Gustavus offers opportunities for experiential learning in philosophy that support your academic growth and relationship building outside the classroom. Embracing the many ways to get involved on campus expands your knowledge, helps you engage with diverse perspectives, and develop practical skills that are valuable in a wide range of personal and professional contexts. Plus, with small class sizes, students in the philosophy department have ample opportunities to build strong connections in class that carry over to activities outside of class.

The Theatre and Dance Department produces four main stage plays, two dance concerts, and a variable number of student-directed plays and senior projects each year. For most productions, roughly half of the student participants are majors or minors. Dance students may audition for the Gustavus Dance Company and the Apprentice Company as well as for the two dance concerts. Main stage shows represent a variety of styles and time periods and are intended to entertain and challenge. In alternating years, the Department produces a major musical.

We honor top leaders from fraternities and sororities who have shown strong dedication to good grades, community service, and the values of Greek life. This special honor society encourages members to keep developing their leadership skills and serving both campus and community.
