Jessica Imholte
Along with teaching CHE 111 and CHE 121 labs, Jessica is the Lab Coordinator for the CHE 111 & CHE 121 lab courses, the department's Student Employment Supervisor, and one of the Chem Club Advisors.
St. Lucia Festival
The St. Lucia festival is rooted in the Swedish culture and the Christian faith, yet anyone can draw inspiration from Lucia's lessons. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate people in our current lives who have displayed similar qualities of Lucia.
Student Outcomes at Gustavus
Nearly 90 percent of Gustavus graduates are employed, in grad school, or volunteering within nine months; all will participate in an internship, research, a community project, or a study away. Our students come out ready to do good work in the world.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Carol Lagergren
Carol Lagergren is a Visiting Instructor in the Education Department. After working 32 years in K-12 education as a classroom teacher and administrator, she moved to Gustavus and taught for several years focusing on Middle and Secondary School Education courses. She currently supervises and supports student teachers in the Education Program.

Joshua Harbitz
Josh Harbitz began his career at Gustavus in 2009, when he was appointed to teach human anatomy and physiology in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. Professional interests include treatment for musculoskeletal injuries and the human microbiome influence on physiology. Personal interests include hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Michelle Twait
Michelle Twait has served as a librarian and faculty member at Gustavus since 2000. She provides research assistance and library instruction, builds the collection in several areas (with particular responsibility for the reference collection), and participates in the shared management of the library. Michelle's research interests include the psychology of decision making, information-seeking behavior, libraries as mentoring communities, and U.S. women's history.
