Starfish is a student‑support system, offering a centralized tool for submitting and receiving early notification about student concerns and ways to provide supportive outreach.

The Library and Archives provides access to books, periodicals, government documents, and databases. The librarians are eager to help you with research questions. The library also holds the college and Lutheran Church Archives and has great study spaces. Heather Banks, Associate Director for Health Professions, joined the Gustavus community in 2004, beginning her work in the Center for Career Development with the Internship Program. In 2009, she transitioned to the Office of Health Professions, where she supports students and alumni through intentional prerequisite course planning, guidance in gaining meaningful healthcare-related experiences, and dedicated support throughout the graduate application process.

We provide opportunities for players of all levels to improve their game and compete. We enjoy the intellectual challenge of chess within a supportive community.
