Elementary Education
The Gustavus Elementary Education program prepares you to lead inclusive and innovative classrooms. You will begin observing and participating in practicum teaching experiences as soon as you enter the program. Graduates teach students across the country and around the world, with 90% of students placed in teaching jobs upon graduation.

In the Secondary Education major at Gustavus, you will choose from 17 teacher licensure programs. You will begin working in classrooms as soon as you start the program, and 90% of graduates are placed in teaching roles in middle schools, high schools, and other organizations across the country and the world.

Religious Diversity in Professional Life
In this minor, you'll develop skills to negotiate the challenges of religious diversity in the workplace and the world at large. You'll strengthen your interfaith literacy and reflect on your own worldview and values. Religious diversity intersects with other forms of diversity, so this minor serves a range of fields and professions.

Pre-Occupational Therapy
You'll major in Exercise Physiology and/or Psychological Science for a future as an occupational therapist. You'll get a strong academic foundation in the classes needed for grad school, plus the freedom to explore a range of electives. It's an ideal blend of academic rigor, supportive community, and immersive campus experience. And the Office of Health Professions provides comprehensive support, from prerequisite course requirements to graduate school applications.

Psychological Science is foundational to tackling society’s big questions and challenges, from prejudice to multi-sensory perception and memory. As a Psychological Science major, you will be immersed in experiential learning courses that put science and research into practice. You will learn to test and interrogate psychological research questions, lead experiments, collect and analyze data, and present their findings.
