General Information
Parking
Free parking for MUPC attendees is available in any lot on campus. (see map)
Registration
The registration table at the West entrance of Beck Academic Hall will be staffed from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM with breaks during the keynote address and lunch. Continental breakfast items will be available starting at 8:00 AM. Attendees are asked to return name badges to the registration table prior to their departure.
Posters
Students should plan on having their poster displayed at the assigned station (i.e. the number that is printed in the program and on the name badge) for the entire duration of their poster session. We will have three poster sessions, one in the morning and two in the afternoon. Please make sure you size your poster to fit a 32 by 40 poster board. We will provide the poster board and display stand for you. You are expected to be available to present your poster for your assigned hour. For example, students in the 1pm poster session can leave their posters displayed until 3pm, the beginning of the next poster session on the 3rd floor, even though they are only required to present from 1pm-2pm. Posters may be stored in the Beck Hall coat room (BH 144) by the registration desk when not on display.
Presentations
Talks will take place in Beck 317 and 319. Each presentation should last about 10 minutes with 3 minutes allowed for questions. Rooms are equipped with a Macbook and projector. To save time, presentations will be loaded on the computers in advance. Each room will have a facilitator to provide a brief introduction and keep the session moving along on schedule.
Lunch
Lunch is scheduled following the keynote address. The faculty lunch will be held in the Three Crowns Room on the 2nd floor of the Jackson Campus Center. Students can buy lunch at the Gustavus Marketplace (cafeteria) on the North end of the Jackson Campus Center. Dr. Kathleen Voss will meet with any students who would like to talk with her over the lunch hour in the St. Peter Room in the Jackson Campus Center. Students can bring their lunch to the St. Peter Room if they would like to do so.
