Assistant Director for Career Advising Initiatives in Career Development and SART Advocate in Nondepartmental

Jill is a member of the Career Development staff.  Jill supports the career success of Gustavus students and alumni through developing career-related activities and educational materials, providing individual appointments and group presentations, and connecting students to career resources and services.  Jill supports any student but serves as the liason for the following academic areas: 

  • Humanities Division: Classics | English | History | Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures | Philosophy | Religion | Scandinavian Studies
  • Natural Sciences Division: Biology | Chemistry | Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences | Math, Computer Science, and Statistics | Physics
  • Interdisciplinary Programs: African/Africana Diaspora Studies | Biochemistry and Molecular Biology | Comparative Literature | Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies | Japanese Studies | Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies | Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies | Public Health | Russian and Eastern European Studies
  • Undeclared/Still Deciding Students or First Career Meeting: Exploring majors and careers is an important part of the career development process that includes assessing yourself and gaining experiences to help build confidence in career decision-making.

Jill lives here in St. Peter with her partner (Mark '09), sons (Cormac, Rigel, and Wendel), and dog (Teddy). In her spare time she gets outdoors as much as possible, enjoys reading, baking, dancing, playing games, watching television/movies, and hanging out with her family & friends.
