I grew up in Mankato, Minnesota and earned my Bachelor os Science degree in Psychology from Mankato State University, Mankato. A few years later, while working as a graduate student, I earned my Master's Degree in Community Health from Mankato State University, Mankato . After graduation I lived and worked (and traveled) in Tokyo, Japan teaching English. When back in the states, I accepted a position at Waldorf College as the Health Promotion and Community Service Director. I later moved back to Mankato and married my husband, Jeff in 1998. I worked at Scholarship America as a Program Manager for 8 years, managing scholarship programs for companies such as Target. In 2002 our son Conner was born and after a couple years of wanting to be home more and not do daycare, I resigned my full-time position. In July 2005, I was thrilled to be offered the part-time position as the John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning Administrative Assistant. I was very excited to become part of the Gustavus community and be working on a college campus again.
