Payment Policy:

A $250.00 per person deposit to History America Tours, by check or credit card, is required to register for the tour. History America Tours will send confirmations to registrants and will invoice them for final payment due 60 days before departure.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Cancellations received 90 days or before departure will incur a $50.00 per person administrative fee; cancellations received 89-60 days prior are subject to forfeiture of deposit; cancellations 59-30 days prior will be charged 50% of the tour cost, or the costs which cannot be recovered, whichever is the greater amount. Since hotels and other suppliers are pre-paid by 30 days prior and do not offer refunds, there are no refunds for cancellations received less than 30 days prior. The one exception History America makes with this is when the tour is sold out after a cancellation, in which case we refund all but the $50.00 administration fee.

Trip Cancellation Insurance:

Since it is not possible to recover all monies advanced on behalf of tour members who must cancel, we strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. History America Tours partners with Allianz Travel Insurance, and there are a number of other insurance companies tour members may contact direct. If tour members are interested in the insurance, it needs to be purchased within 2 weeks of initial deposit to get coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Miscellaneous Commitments and Obligations:

History America Tours will provide a contract as well as a detailed and timed itinerary for the college, and will also provide a packet of tour documents for the tour members about a month prior to depart.
