The Vice President for Mission, Strategy and Innovation supports the work of the President, the President’s Cabinet, Faculty, Staff and the Board of Trustees in advancing the mission, vision and institutional effectiveness of Gustavus Adolphus College.
- Provides counsel and assistance to the President to support and lead the implementation of the Gustavus Acts Strategic Plan.
- Identifies the needs of the College’s prospective and current students, develops strategies for meeting their needs, and determines with the President and Cabinet how to implement these strategies.
- Provides strategic direction and leadership to the Human Resources function at the College, including oversight of ADA compliance.
- Collaborates with other members of the College community to manage the National Advisory Boards.
- Leads or coordinates innovative projects, as directed by the President, especially involving the external community of the College.
- Serves as the Internal Facilitator of Gustavus Women in Leadership student club and alumnae organization.
- Serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, contributing to its informed deliberation, its collaborative culture, and its effective decision-making and action.
- Collaborates with other members of the College community to foster shared understanding of, support for, and action to advance, the distinctive mission of the college.
