Building Bridges 20th Anniversary CelebrationMarch 7, 2015 at 5:30–8:30 p.m.
BUILDING BRIDGES is an annual conference on diversity. Student initiated and student-led, it promotes proactive, social change through awareness and it fosters mutual respect and understanding of diversity. The conference has been held annually in March since 1995. New themes are developed and presented each year.
The 20th Anniversary Celebration will consist of a community social hour reception (free). We invite all interested alumni or parents to join us in celebrating the success of this Gustavus Signature Event. At the reception, we will highlight alumni who are continuing a committment to social justice.

This year's conference is titled "Hidden in Plain Sight: Recognizing and Rejecting Rape Culture. eIt will address the culture in which sexual violence is persuasive and normalized. Jessica Valenti and Zerlina Maxwell will deliver keynote speeches. The conference has a $10 per person fee. For more information on the conference itself, please visit the Building Bridges website.
