Gustavus Athletic Training Association

Article I

The name of the organization shall be Gustavus Athletic Training Association. The purpose of this organization shall be to unite the athletic training students of Gustavus Adolphus College. The goals of this organization shall be as follows:

  1. To bring together the athletic training students in one unified group. 
  2. To support the education of athletic training students within the athletic training major.

Article II

Membership requirements shall include being accepted into the Gustavus Athletic Training Program. All members shall be considered voting members. GPA requirements shall be congruent with requirements laid out in the Gustavus Athletic Training Program handbook. Individuals shall be appointed to positions by way of voting. This organization shall not discriminate based upon race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, nor age. This organization shall uphold the values of diversity, equity and inclusion set by Gustavus Adolphus College. 

Article III

Within this organization there shall be a president, a vice-president, a senior treasurer, a junior treasurer, a secretary, an events coordinator, and a publicity chair. The president shall organize and facilitate, run meetings and delegate tasks, and communicate with board members about upcoming events. The vice-president shall assist the president with organization, keep order during meetings, and shall be in charge of fundraising. The senior and junior treasurers shall be equally responsible for collecting dues, designing the budget, attending budgeting meetings, and be in charge of payments for conferences. The secretary shall attend all board meetings and organization meetings and keep record of meeting events. The events coordinator shall be in charge of social events for the organization. The publicity chair shall be responsible for managing the social media accounts and promoting the organization through social media. 

Article IV

Meetings shall be held on a regular basis by determination of the executive board of the organization. Regular attendance shall be required. 

Article V

This organization shall adhere to all college rules, regulations and policies. This organization shall adhere to all local, state and federal laws. 

Article VI

This organization's advisor shall be the Gustavus Athletic Training Program Director, or Clinical Education Coordinator, whichever the organization and the Gustavus Athletic Training Program find fit for this position. The advisor shall assist the organization and mentor members.
