I have always LOVED office work and remember playing "office" with my younger sister growing up. I earned a degree to teach; however, I started my college career pursuing a degree in accounting and truly considered the minor. However, with not much of a relation between elem. ed. and accounting, I dismissed the thought of the accounting minor.
After college, working for the City of Spearfish, (SD) for 3+ years within the finance office, once again filled the interest, desire and enjoyment of playing "office." I held a job within the Accounts Receivable Department and truly enjoyed the variety of the position as well as the people who shared our office.
From 2001-2008, I had the wonderful opportunity to live in beautiful Western NY state. I had the extreme pleasure to be an "at-home" mom for our two beautiful children, Tanner and Emily, as well as enjoy life in a charming rural village. In 2006, I started working part-time at their school assisting with the Reading First Program.
In 2008, we moved to St. Peter to find a more permanent home closer to SD family. I believe I have been lead back to my original interest and love of "office" work with the acceptance of this position. I love the variety the position offers as well as the atmosphere of campus life along with the friendliness and generosity of Gustavus faculty and staff.
