Originally from International Falls, MN, I came to Gustavus in the fall of 1982, met my future partner Julie (Brudwick) during first year orientantion, married in 1985, and graduated together in the class of 1986. Following graduate studies in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Minnesota and UW-Oshkosh, I entered the hospitality industry in various managerial capacities until returning to Gustavus in 1994 as the Dining Service Director.  In 2002, I added oversight of Gustavus Summer Programs/Conferences/Camps to my service to the college, in 2011, management responsibilities for the the Book Mark, and in 2016, Print and Mail Services and Tennis and Life Camps joined the other areas mentiond under the umbrella of Auxiliary Services. Lastly, in 2022, The Arboretum at Gustavus Adolphus College became the newest member of the Auxiliary Services Division!

Julie and I have 3 wonderful and unique adult children, Matthew (Kari), Bethany (Ben), and Grace (Brandon), three amazing and energetic grandsons - Micah, Sawyer, and Otto - and a menagerie of family pets.  I enjoy my supportive extended family, many, many good friends, my work and co-workers at Gustavus, athletics, the outdoors, and especially my shack in the woods of Northern Minnesota.
