Jessica Helget ’11Alumni and Faculty

Hello! As an alum of Gustavus Adolphus College in 2011, Jessica has spent lots of time on the Gustavus Campus! She is thrilled to be a part of the "Gustavus Family", espeically the Nursing department.  Her role in the department is mainly in the simulation setting.  She educates students using simulation as a clinical experience.  With 5 different mid to high fidelity mannequens, the students are able to care for geriatric, adult, obstetric, and pediatric patients in a simulated experience.  Her other specialty is mainly medical surgical focused, but she teaches both prenursing and nursing students in didactic as well.  She is currently working on Progressive Care Unit (ICU step down) at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato, as a staff nurse.  In 2021, she completed her Masters in Science: Nurse Educator degree from St. Catherine University.
