Tony Halloin joined the faculty of Gustavus Adolphus College in 2024 as adjunct instructor of Tuba and Euphonium following a 20 year career in the United States Navy Band, Washington, D.C. While a member of the Navy's premier musical organization, he performed for five presidential inaugurations, three state funerals, hundreds of concerts, and thousands of ceremonies supporting the President, Department of Defense, Arlington National Cemetery, and the U.S. Navy. Additionally, he held the solo chair of the Navy Band Brass Quartet for 14 years, leading the group for six. For his final two years in the Navy, he directed 22 auditions, the career development program, and human resources staff as the Command Career Counselor.
