Patricia, now retired, taught Latin courses, Greek and Roman Art and Archaeology, Medical Terminology and in Curriculum II, The Historical Perspective I and Visual Experience. She is still teaching about two courses a year, usually her first-term seminar on bicultural identity and her shibori course in January, although sometimes a course for Curriculum II or the Classics Department. She continues to pursue her interests in the classical tradition in art and literature and pedagogical concerns.

Now actively involved in a career as a textile artist, dyeing fabric using the traditional Japanese shaped-resist techniques of shibori, she has been showing in regional and national shows, teaching workshops locally and nationally and has been recognized with awards. With a team of helpers she executed the 24 twelve-yard hangings for Christmas in Christ Chapel 2005. Two of her scarves were purchased for the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society.
