From Wikipedia

The Schmidt-Cassegrain is a telescope that combines a Cassegrain reflector's, a combination of a primary concave mirror and a secondary convex mirror, optical path with a Schmidt corrector plate, an aspheric lens which corrects the spherical aberration, to make a compact astronomical instrument that uses simple spherical surfaces. It uses a combination of reflection and refraction using specifically shaped mirrors and lenses to form an image.
