Summer Workshop on Teaching and Learning -- MARCH 5th DEADLINE

Areas this workshop will explore include: best practices and challenges in curricular offerings (senior seminars, capstone courses, senior theses, independent and collaborative research, faculty-student mentoring). Breakout Sessions will offer: modeling intercultural sensitivity, innovative library research and bibliographic tools, practices for internship advising, grooming students for fellowships and scholarships, and working with students involved in writing theses and other substantive research essays, and independent or collaborative research/creativity.

Dates: The Workshop will be held June 4-8, 2007, from 9 to 4 p.m. in the Interpretive Center. Participants are expected to attend all five days and will receive a $750 stipend. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Faculty also will be expected to participate in a follow-up discussion during the fall semester, 2007.

 2009 Hall of Fame Class Selected

The Gustavus Adolphus College Athletics Department has chosen nine individuals for induction into its Athletics Hall of Fame. Gustavus Adolphus College is once again a Best College in The Princeton Review’s college ranking guidebook, The Best 371 Colleges. Also, Gustavus again made the Best Campus Food list. These annual rankings are based solely on input from college students.

Fringe Festival Features Gustavus Theatre and Dance

Since its founding, the Minnesota Fringe Festival has featured the work of hundreds of Gustavus Theatre & Dance students, alumni and faculty. This year is no exception, with a number of performances by alumni and current students across the 11-day festival.
