High School Essay Contest2020 Nobel Conference


2017 Nobel Conference Panel Discussion

High school junior and senior students who attended the 2020 Nobel Conference are invited to compete in an essay contest, with a top prize of a $1000 scholarship to Gustavus, and two runner-up prizes of $500 Gustavus scholarships. This scholarship will be in addition to the financial aid package for which the student is already eligible. Winners must attend Gustavus, in order to claim their prize.

Selection criteria: Entries will be judged on quality and originality of your thesis, incorporation of ideas discussed at Nobel Conference, organization, writing mechanics, and overall effectiveness.

Submission: Submit your papers as a pdf or Microsoft word document to nobelessay@gustavus.edu.

Deadline: Entries must be submitted by November 15 by 5 p.m.

Announcement of winners: Winners will be notified by December 15 and will be announced on the Nobel Conference webpage.

Specifications: Entries must be typed, double-spaced, and properly documented. 1200 word maximum. On a separate title page, include full name and contact information, as well as the high school you attend.
