The Center for Victims of Torture

CVT works to heal the wounds of torture on individuals, their families and their communities and to stop torture worldwide. Their client care program spans the disciplines of medicine, psychology, psychiatry, nursing, social services and massage and physical therapy.

CVT’s message is one of hope and healing. Mark Turbak, a volunteer with the organization will discuss what torture is, the effect of torture on individuals, their families and their communities and how torture treatment programs heal the wounds of torture and work to end torture.
