Webinar: "The Art of Marketing Faculty-Led Programs"September 6, 2017 at noon to 1:15 p.m.
Whose responsibility is it, anyway? So often there is an unspoken battle between study abroad office staff and faculty offering their course abroad about who is responsible for getting a program to run. Study abroad advisors are at capacity with credit transfers, financial aid counseling, and walk-in appointments; as are faculty with their teaching schedules, research, and service requirements. If data indicates that faculty do in fact have the most impact, what tools are they provided to help them be successful in their recruitment endeavors? In this session, we'll review the challenges associated with marketing faculty-led programs and data from the Open Doors report that points to the importance of the faculty member in recruitment. We'll share findings from CISabroad's on-campus partner, International Education Programs, and discuss ways to set yourself up for success using a variety of tools when promoting your short-term faculty-led course. Led by: Gail DeBell, Director of Study Abroad, Seattle Pacific University; Jess Jones, Assistant Vice President of Custom Programs, CISabroad; and Scott Tayloe, Executive Director of International Education Programs, CISabroad.
