American University international law professor Diane Orentlicher will share imperatives and formidable challenges for justice in cases of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, particularly in the context of Iraq. Orentlicher is an expert on international criminal justice and serves as the director of the War Crimes Research Office at American University. She has appeared several times on "The News Hour" on PBS to speak about the ongoing war crimes tribunal for Yugoslavia and possibilities of prosecution for Saddam Hussein and Iraqi war criminals.
