Announcement: Tryout for the 2025-26 GAC Dance Team!

• Date: Saturday, March 29, 2025
• Time: 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. (6:00 is approx.)
• Where: Lund Movement Studio (277)

Tryouts will be for the 2025/26 performance (overall) team. Evaluations will be made for the Competition team, but will not be finalized until the fall. The skills below will be evaluated.

• Performance Team
  • Flexibility (Right and left front kick, right open kick, back attitude)
  • Right Leap
  • Calypso
  • Right Second/Open leap
  • Fire bird Leap
  • Double Turn
  • Turning Disc
  • Tilt Jump/Leap
  • Toe Touch
  • Fire bird
  • Split Jump
  • Combo Technique, Execution, Placement & Timing, Performance, Facials & Expressions
• Competition Team (All above included):
• Triple Turn
• Quad Turn
• Left Leap
• 8 count of open turns (usually 3 opens into a double)
• 2 8 count of open turns (usually includes a float, arm change, and pirouette)
• 2/3 8 count of open turns of choice
• Combo Technique, Execution, Placement & Timing, Performance, Facials & Expressions
• BONUS (not contributing to scores): Acro and other skills
