The Student Life Professional Development Committee is sponsoring two training sessions titled "Trans 101" on Thursday, April 25th in the Heritage Room from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. for faculty and staff and 3 to 4:30 p.m. for faculty, staff and students.

"Trans 101" will focus on defining terms associated with gender identity, reviewing current knowledge on the topic and discussing best practices to promote an inclusive environment for transgendered individuals. Presenters for the sessions will be JamieAnne Meyers, Professor Emerita of Geoscience at Winona State University, and Abel Knochel, Assistant Professor of Social Work at Augsburg.
