This year, a working group is developing a vision for stronger support of undergraduate research at Gustavus. The group consists of faculty across the College (Phil Bryant, Mimi Gerstbauer, Julie Gilbert, Amanda Nienow, and Beatriz Torres) and is organized by Brandy Russell (Faculty Associate for Undergraduate Research " Kendall Center) and Barbara Kaiser (Associate Provost and Dean of Academic Programs). The working group has been gathering information about ongoing forms of undergraduate research and strategic goals in this area, and is examining ways to increase support so that departments, programs, and centers across campus can offer these opportunities to students more effectively. Several group members will be present to discuss the group's progress and to get feedback from faculty.
