Description
The 2005-06 Rydell Professor, Robert Gallo, will present a talk, titled "The Story of a Modern Plague: HIV and AIDS — Part 1: The Beginning." Gallo is a renowned expert on retroviruses and one of the co-discoverers of the HIV virus. The Rydell Professorship at Gustavus Adolphus College is funded by the Drs. Robert E. and Susan T. Rydell and aims to bring Nobel laureates and Nobel Conference presenters to the College for extended residencies.
