Jennifer M. McBride is Board of Regents Chair in Ethics and Assistant Professor of Religion at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She received her doctorate in philosophical theology from the Religious Studies Department at the University of Virginia in 2008 and was a 2008/2009 Postdoctoral Fellow in Religious Practices and Practical Theology at Emory University's Candler School of Theology. She remained at Emory for two more years as a visiting lecturer and director of a theology certificate program for women prisoners. McBride serves on the Board of Directors of the International Bonhoeffer Society, English Language Section and is co-editor of Bonhoeffer and King: Their Legacies and Import for Christian Social Thought (Fortress Press, 2010). Her book, The Church for the World: A Theology of Public Witness, is forthcoming (December 2011) with Oxford University Press.
