Description

With the Celebration of Creative Inquiry and the Political Science Research Symposium coming up in a few weeks the Writing Center is offering a presentation on communicating effectively through research posters. We will cover three basic things:

  1. Information on what to include on your poster
  2. How to verbally explain your poster/project to people from unrelated disciplines
  3. How to communicate to your target audience through your poster

We hope that after you leave this workshop you will have a good idea as to what to put on your poster and how to organize it. Please bring any copies of your research or project materials with you to help aid you in the workshop. After the workshop, we will hold a orientation to InDesign session for interested students. But you must reserve your spot in this session since we have limited space. Please contact kobryan@gac.edu to reserve your spot. If you come to the InDesign session, you must come to the workshop part of the event too since we will be referring to things we did in the workshop.
