Description
"The Story of Life" will emphasize paleontology, anthropology, developmental genetics, and evolution theory - the tools we use to untangle the course of evolution on earth. Our present understanding of the origin of life, the appearance and demise of dinosaurs, and the emergence of modern humans will be central to conference debate. What does the idea of evolution mean for the relationships of humans to each other and our responsibilities for related species on Earth? Implications of this science for society might help us better understand the meaning of life.
