Welcome to Gustavus

9 a.m.-Noon NEW ARRIVALS - Move into your Residence Halls.
Please register at the front desk of your residence hall to receive your keys.

9 a.m.-4 p.m. All student check-in for student ID, voice mail information, post office box, advisor meeting locations, student employment assignment, orientation group, and schedule. Information Center, Jackson Campus Center

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. IN FLIGHT MEAL-You and your family are guests of the college.
We encourage all new students living on- and off-campus to join us with their families as well as have International Students invite their host families for this lunch. Please pick-up your tickets at the Information Center, Jackson Campus Center. Evelyn Young Dining Room, Jackson Campus Center

Each student is assigned to a small group which will meet regularly throughout Orientation. You will have received your group number and meeting location at the Campus Center Check-in on Saturday. If you don't have this information, come to the Campus Center Information Desk.

10:30 a.m. Communion Service
Everyone is welcome to attend this Ecumenical Christian Service. Christ Chapel

11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. IN FLIGHT MEAL - Lunch & Tours with your Orientation Group. Evelyn Young Dining Room

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Music Auditions
You are encouraged to get involved with music at Gustavus. All auditions are held during this time and should be a priority if you want to get involved. Come to the Music Building Lobby if you need to schedule an audition time or check on your current appointment.

11 a.m., Noon, Computer Orientation Sessions (Attend with 1, 2, & 3 p.m. Orientation Group.)
Vital training for ALL students new to Gustavus. How to read/send e-mail, information on campus computer labs and more. Your password will be distributed at this meeting. Olin Hall Lobby

Through the performance and discussion you will have an opportunity to see how culture shapes our identities and to demonstrate the multicultural aspects of our common, yet varied human spirit. 9 - 10 a.m. Placement Exams
French, German or Spanish: If you did not register on campus in June; if you had three years of French, German, or Spanish in high school; and you have registered to continue this fall; you must contact the chair of Modern Foreign Languages in 208 Vickner Hall, ext. 7390.

Pre-calculus, Calculus I, or Calculus II: If you did not register on campus in June and you are registered for one of these courses, speak with your professor the first day of class to ensure proper placement.
