Announcement: New Residence Hall Construction

Construction began in earnest on the new residence hall last week. A substantial amount of dirt was moved around the site before the rains came. Excavation and concrete placing for the building's foundations will begin on June 21. At some point in the next few weeks, Chapel Drive will be closed so that utilities and a steam tunnel can be constructed to serve the new building. At that time, access to the Chapel, Olin and Nobel halls will be from the south, by Bjorling Recital Hall. Chapel Drive will be closed for four to six weeks.
