Mental Health: The Unacknowledged Civil Rights Journey

The 23rd annual Building Bridges Conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3. Through keynote addresses, a series of workshops, and an interactive action piece, conference participants will reframe discussions surrounding mental health.

This full-day conference will feature keynote speakers Leah Ida Harris and Deborah Prothrow-Stith. Harris has been working to stop the perpetuation of harmful and traumatic practices in mental health. Prothrow-Stitch focuses on disparities in access to care for racial minorities and is an internationally recognized public health leader.
