Announcement: Letters for Tenure Candidates Sought
The following members of the faculty are currently being considered for appointments with continuous tenure:
- Jillian Downey, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics
- Lucie Holmgreen, Psychological Science
- Rory McFadden, Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences
- Shu-Ling Wang, Economics and Management
- Sarah Wolter, Communication Studies
Letters should address the criteria for tenure as stated in the Faculty Manual. The Kendall Center has provided a useful document with strategies for reducing implicit bias in recommendation letters; this will be a helpful reference in crafting letters on behalf of tenure candidates.
Letters are due Monday, September 19, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. All members of the Gustavus community are invited to submit letters. Candidates will have access to their letters.
Please note: Letters should be addressed to Provost Brenda Kelly, but should be emailed directly to her assistant, Shanon Nowell (snowell@gustavus.edu). Acknowledgment will be sent upon receipt.
