Michael Holquist, emeritus professor of Slavic Languages at Yale University and second vice president of the Modern Language Association of America, will present a lecture, titled "Resolved: If We Cannot Think Without Language, the Liberal Arts Must be the Core of All Curricula," as part of a symposium to celebrate the Year of Languages and to inaugurate the new non-English language requirement.
