Announcement: Investment Education For Employees
Audience:Employees
Description
As part of its educational mission, the student-run E. Terry Skone Investment Club invites faculty and staff to informal outreach events over the January Interim. Students will offer two interactive sessions about market fundamentals, with small group discussions.
Events will be held on Wednesday, January 15 from 5-6 p.m. and Thursday January 16 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., both at the Melva Lind Interpretive Center. Refreshments will be served!
Topics will include:
- What is the “market” and how do I invest there?
- What’s a “bear” market and a “bull” market and why do they matter?
- What makes a good mix of investments and how do I choose?
Our goal is to provide information in a relaxed environment that welcomes conversation about how the market works.
