Description

As part of its educational mission, the E. Terry Skone Investment Club invites faculty and staff to informal outreach events over J-Term. Students will offer two interactive sessions about market fundamentals, with small group discussions.

Events will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15 and from 11:30-12:30 p.m. on Thursday January 16, both at the Melva Lind Interpretive Center. Come when you can and leave when you must. Refreshments will be served.

Topics will include:

  • What is the “market” and how do I invest there?
  • What’s a “bear” market and a “bull” market and why do they matter?
  • What makes a good mix of investments and how do I choose

Not required, but helpful: please RSVP to IC-officers@gustavus.edu for catering. Please email Kathy Lund Dean (lunddean) with any questions.
