History of Statistics in the British IslesApril 15 at 3:30–4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 15 at 3:30 p.m. in Olin 103, Dr. Tyler George of Cornell College in Iowa will give a talk on the development of modern statistics and a study abroad course in the British Isles that he has developed to immerse students in this. This talk will examine the history of statistics and the people, places, and events that motivated the creation of modern statistics such as government taxation and beer making. A reception will follow Dr. George's talk.
