Webinar participants will learn about research-based methods that have proven to be effective in recruiting and selecting a diverse array of talent. Participants will walk you through this research-method and learn how to apply it to recruit and select the most diverse and capable talent available. In this webinar participants will:

  • Examine a proven process that ensures a rigorous, thorough, fair and successful search every time.
  • Get tips, techniques, and case studies to help committee chairs and committee members design selection instruments, create excellent interview questions, and select candidates with retention and cultural fit in mind.
  • Learn about policies, procedures and practices that can be implemented to improve the search process and increase the likelihood that your recruitment pools are more diverse.

Presenter: Christopher D. Lee, Ph.D., SPHR is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resource Services at the Virginia Community College System. Dr. Lee is a self-described HR evangelist and a leading authority on the search committee process. He is the author of numerous HR related articles and chapters, and three books, including Search Committees: A Comprehensive Guide to Successful Faculty, Staff, and Administrative Searches and Performance Conversations: An Alternative to Appraisals. He recently completed the manuscript for his fourth book, tentatively titled Performance Questions: 7 Answers, 30 Minutes, Unlimited Results. Chris's first book, earned the 2001 Kathryn Hansen publication award from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). He is the founder of the website www.SearchCommittees.com, an online repository of hundreds of resources and training materials on the search process designed to train and empower search committees.
