Gustavus Global Insight China Visiting Scholar Lecture Series.April 15, 2009 at 7–8 p.m.

Dr. Liping Wang will deliver a lecture entitled, "Women in China: Rural Violence, Urban Labor and the Promises of Capitalism," as part of the Gustavus Global Insight China Visiting Scholar Lecture Series.

Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Minnesota and has conducted field work in rural China for more than a decade. The event is free and open to the public.
