Description

Gustavus Day at the Capitol will take place on Tuesday, March 14 this year. It is an opportunity for Gustavus students, faculty, and staff to advocate for the Minnesota State Grant program with legislators at the Capitol.

As part of this event, Gustavus alumni with careers or expertise in state government, law, public affairs, or related fields are invited to connect with current students participating in Day at the Capitol. The networking portion of the day has consistently been identified as one of the primary draws for current students, as they seek to make connections with Gusties working in the fields of government and social services.

This event will take place on March 14, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 316 of the Capitol Building. After settling in, we will organize breakout sessions where students will be given a chance to interact with alumni. Attendees with similar roles and responsibilities will be clustered together during the breakout sessions, and students will be encouraged to rotate through alumni groups to maximize their exposure and quickly build their networks!
