About the Phillips Neighborhood
The Phillips West neighborhood in Minneapolis runs from 35W to Chicago Avenue and Lake Street to E. 22nd Street. 3,100 families live in this 1.6 square mile section and 31% of those families live below the poverty level. Because of the needs in this area, Gusties have worked in the Phillips Neighborhood with G.I.V.E. at several sites in the past. Starting this year all G.I.V.E. sites will concentrate to serve Phillips Neighborhood.
