Description

As a part of the Peer Assistant's Healthy Relationship Week and M-Pact's Men's Lives Series, M-Pact is bringing in alum and singer/songwriter Neal Hagberg to talk about what he has learned from the many mistakes he's made over the years in his relationships as well as play some of his music about relationships. He will use his songs and stories as entry points for reflection and dialogue on what makes relationships work and what makes them fail, and give some ideas for avoiding the same mistakes he has made. All are welcome and encouraged to attend because we all experience struggles in our relationships. Come join Neal Hagberg in his presentation entitled, "From Neanderthal to Neal: One Person's Stumbling Evolution in Relationships."

Hagberg has been a full time singer songwriter as half of the duo Neal & Leandra for over twenty years, with Columbia Artists and Red House Records. He is the recipient of two McKnight Fellowships, one for performance and one for composition. Hagberg was recently named director of Tennis and Life Camps at Gustavus, his other passion, and will continue both his role with the camps and with his music, giving concerts, workshops, and artist in residencies. He met his wife Leandra, 29 years ago at Gustavus, they have an 11 year old daughter. For more information, visit, www.nealandleandra.com
