In this lecture, the Spanish Teaching Assistant this year (Laura Villegas Izquierdo) will talk about her experience and contact with feminism in her home country. It is going to be focused on how feminism is conceived in Spain, how during the past years this concept and movement has developed, the way social media has an impact on it and what controversies are emerging due to the new political parties in the country. The lecture will be in Spanish, but some explanations in English will be given if needed. Free and open to the public.
