Pajtim Statovci isa young, dynamic, and critically acclaimed author who will participate in a facilitated discussion about the experiences of those on the fringes of society based on his award winning debut novel, My Cat Yugoslavia.
Statovci is the guest author for the 2017 Out of Scandinavia, artist in residence program. Statovci moved from Kosovo to Finland with his family when he was two years old. My Cat Yugoslavia, has won or been nominated for numerous awards including winning the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize in Finland for best debut novel.
